Pics of mine.

Comments?

Anyone happen to know why my flip key transponder (chip) stops working a few hours after it is programmed? It happened twice, so I use a regular key and the flip for remote only right now.

I have a feeling he is either using the wrong transponder or the current method of reprogramming does not work. .. . I will try and cut an after market key this week and try to program it to my car and see if it works. . . if it does then it is the transponder, if not then it is the programming method

For reference my family business is a Locksmith shop and we have the technology to program these keys, and I was also unsuccessful with programming the flip key off of ebay. I pulled the transponder out of one of my spare keys to get it to work. I have not tried to program one of our aftermarket keys but I will try it out this week

Okay! All good. I moved the OEM transponder into the flip key.

I highly recommend doing this. It wasn't a breeze, but it was well worth the effort.

...aaah, ebay dude replaced the broken fob with this nissan branded one and I got it cut and programmed successfully today..YAY!! Panic button went programmed right to trunk release so I'm happy about that too. Cut & program was $50 total at ACME locksmith out in Mesa incase anyone local is interested.

^^^^^^^It truly is as exciting as johnnyfin makes it seem.^^^^^^^^

I noticed there were a few others who had left feedback on ebay after buying this remote for their G35.

A-1 locksmith in Plano, Texas. Program = $30 Cut = $2

With that said, I would recommend taking the transponder out of OEM key and putting it in flip key. It's cheaper and it isn't that hard. I ended up doing that.

**Transponder "drawer" can be seen next to the key blade on the OEM key. No need to bash it open or anything. I just picked at it with a thumbtack from my wall and !Voila!
