Seat Bottom Bolsters - Please Read

Hey guys, listen up. I need help as I am in a very upsetting situation. I just got my G coupe one month ago, and after one week of driving it I started experiencing pain in my hip bones (both sides). The pain has continued for almost three weeks now (night and day).

I don't want any stupid Acura TL flames or other crap, this car is incredible, with out a doubt, the best sporty/luxury car out there, which is the reason I am calling out to you all for help, because I don't want anything else.

1.) Is this something that I just need to get used to? Has anyone felt this as well? I thought maybe I would get used to it, but about 3 weeks of pain is starting to get to my head.

2.) I am going to start driving on a seat cushion to get rid of the pain so I can think clearly again. Obviously, I don't want to drive my car this way forever.

3.) I don't want aftermarket seats - can a custom upholstery shop make a seat cushion for me with softer / less bolstering? Has anyone ever tried this with the G or any other of your cars?

4.) If I have to cut metal in the frame, is there anything I should be concerned about? I have already taken the seat apart to inspect as I am a freakin' engineer, but I couldn't put my finger on a solution.

From a new G owner to all you owners, please, throw me a line. I need some help here. This car is too cool to give up...

Charlie

C, I'm with you. Don't know of a solution, but I find I am always shifting around to get comfortable. It sounds like you are really experiencing a problem though. I'd like to get my GS400 seats back to put in the coupe, I'd be happy with just the seat portion. The Coupe has a better back and lateral support. Before the wise cracks start: 5'8" 178, to help put some perspective on what's sitting in it.

There has been a GS400/430 comparsion threat in the past and one comment made was the GS was for better long distance comfort.

I find the coupe seats quite comfortable. However, this discussion has been brought up MANY times. Do a search and you'll find how someone worked around it. I'm 5'10" 175lbs.

I'm 6' 0" 185 and love the seats. Although I've never been in them longer than an hour.
