Ive heard they will be upgrading the headlights to hold rockets, adding a flip up machine gun on each fender top, and swivel out rear license plate to deploy an oil slick. At this point, I think it would be classic if the G35 had no changes whatsoever going into 2005. Id roll on the floor laughing.

PS On the contrary, I heard the 2005 G35 will be downgraded to 160 HP, and the interior plastic will be replaced with styrofoam, and the leather seats replaced with leatherette. The cars paint will be replaced with no paint at all, just like the De Lorean. Bose stereo will be replaced by a Kraco CB/8 track system.

 

300 HP, ILLOGICAL, WHY ? NEW 2005 M35 HAVE ONLY 270 HP FOR 40K. IF 2005 G-COUPE HAVE 300HP THEN INFINITI WILL ONLY HURT THEIR OWN 2005 M35 SALES. PEACE.

You just proved yourself wrong. You say it "does not make sense to sell less HP for more money". But before that you acknowledge that the M45 has 270, and we all know the G35 coupe has 280. Horsepower alone does not a M45 make.

Manufacturers frequently refresh interiors/exteriors with little tweeks, and add small horsepower gains. This is not a new phenomenon.

 

I agree. I'm sure Infiniti will raise the price on the G35 Sport Coupe as well if they increase the power, and they'll probably raise the price anyway even if they don't, the way it seems to be selling.

I'm not sure where you're going. G35 already have more horsepower than the M35 (M45 in my previous post was a typo).

As I said before, horsepower alone doesn't an automobile make. The M series is marketed to a whole different segment of the population.

PS a recent study has shown that people who use all capitals when typing are stupid. Think about it. Every raving lunatic on a forum or in a chatroom uses all caps.

I heard from Freshalloy.com that it's going to the get a Honeywell turbine engine that is used in M1A2 tanks. I think that's 1200HP at the wheels! No price increase either.

It's a known fact the 2005 G35 will have MAJOR changes. Including +20hp, all new interior from the b pillar forward, ect, ect.
