poor guy

last night i went to the drag strip
and there was a g35 s/c with a carbonfiber hood
and i was watching with my friends to see how fast that thing was
well it was pretty quick but half way down the track
the hood flew up and smashed the into the roof.
smashed the sunroof, smashed the windshield
and it put huge dents into the roof

i dont think the guy is on here but wow i felt horrible when it happened

From what you said, at least he didn't wreck. Cars can be fixed/replaced... Glad the guy is ok... hopefully he'll learn the lesson on no pins :P

Same thing happened to my buddy in his Z...with hoodpins. Only issue was he forgot to lock them and they were his only latch and it flew up at about 40-50 mph.

damn. Why does this happen? I drive at high speeds and havent had this happen. I heavily tweaked my hood to make sure it fit when I installed it to make sure it latches firm, etc... Are these guys just slapping them on? They usually don't align correctly out of the box.
