so ive narrowed my picks down to either the JWT combo

http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=114

or a motordyne spacer, Z tube, and K&N drop in.

What should I do if im mainly looking for a sound upgrade?

Off topic but....all owners are lucky regardless of age...it's one of those cars anyone can have if they just $ave their money. Most people would rather have the biggest collection of Ed Hardy shirts (instant gratification) and drive a civic (good car but not comparable) than save that money for a future car.

one time i had a girl that i was sorta involved with in my car and were stopped at a light and she said "rob, your car is orgasmicccc" and then got more excited when i decided to leave that light at a more-than-casual pace..... but i never, ever heard her (or any other human) say anything to the point of a shirt collection being more desirable than my car

IMO, I would say to just get the car first, then drive it like it is for a while. Who knows, you might want to go a different route with it, performance, handling, sound system or you may want to leave it stock. Good luck with whatever you decide.

The Z-tube was pretty cheap and you do feel it in the mid range. I dont know about horsepower and all of that but I know MY car responds better with the tube and a K&N.

But thats the thing, I think you should DRIVE IT for a while first....THEN do the mods. If you start out with the mods, THAT is the only experience you are going to have in your G. So where do you go when you are use to that feeling?

Start out stock and enjoy. THEN when you are use to that feeling and need more, THATS when you should start doing the mods.

Trust me. I've been modding cars for years from turbo-charging to rebuilding engines. You are ALWAYS going to thirst for more power.

Trust me, you'll love it as is.
