Headers For The Coupe

With all this talk about intake and exhaust I have not heard anyone mention headers. I have not done much research yet on headers for the G35 (sedan or coupe). DOes anyone know if they are available or if they will be available. This is a new project for everyone to work on. ). Any way to make our babies fast right. Drive fast and kick ***.

Yea ive did some header searching a while back. Not much available yet but they will come. It seems though that they are goign to cost a pretty penny, It might actually be cheaper to go to a shop and have them custom fabricate a set for you. Infact they could take the exact spec's off an aftermarket company's headers and just duplicate it. I am actually considering that...

I have not done much research on header's ever really. I am not familiar with pricing. What is too much and what should I be looking at as a reasonable price.

SHAWN, I'd be interested to know the h/p gains with an aftermarket set of headers for the VQ. Seems they're quite expensive, and I can't imagine them yielding too much on the already efficient stock system. Let us know what you come up with, and I'd like to check out that site you mentioned.

Re: Headers For The Coupe

Does any one know if we can put afte rmarket header that are for the Altima 3.5 or the Maxima with the 3.5? I was thinking since they are basicly the same engine design VQ35 I think that what it is called. I think that the one desinged for the Z might work on the coupe.

Re: Headers For The Coupe

i dont think so because the VQ engine in the g35's are positioned differently than in the maxima and altima (because of FM chassis)
