is there away to check MT fluid?

so i'm in the engine bay looking for the dipstick for the tranny and too bad i can't find it hahaha...

the service manual does give away to find it either, so is there not one?

only reason i ask is because i just bought my car a few months ago and i'm not sure if the 60k was done yet or not...seems like it might have been done because i have new belts, new oil, and new air filter...crossing my fingers

There is no dip stick for a 6mt tranny only on an automatic.

There's a drain plug and a fill/check level plug on the manual tranny itself under the vehicle. Last time I did mine, the fill/check level plug I believe is on the passenger side of the gearbox. Correct level is at bottom of that plug hole.

Don't forget your rear differential gear oil too.

just go to a shop and change the fluids. tranny, rear diff, etc..
its better you change it to make sure you have new fluids rather than guessing

yeah i know it's better to just replace them rather than guessing, but when i got my car, everything that usually is replaced during the 60k seems to be already replaced. I've only driven the car 1k miles since getting it...i'd hate to just throw money down the drain on new fluid when i can just look at how dark the fluid is, which will determine on if i want to replace it or not.

i'd rather spend that money on new plugs...or some swaybars!!! hahahah

and trust me i dont want to be one of those ricers that has all these mods done to my car only to end up on the side of the freeway broken down because the all money was spent on mods and not MAINTENCE!!!!

but thanks for the info guys...seems pretty easy just gotta get under the car
