I used a Canon DV, distorted, ZR 20 to be exact, a few years old home DV cam, it is actually not mine ^_^, thus I am desperately looking for a cheap DV online, since I have to give my friend back his DV next week...
Looking at the original file, the quality actually wasn't too good, or I might just be too HD happy, but it is definitely better than my using my SONY cyber shot to shoot a vid. Editing is the key, I just cannot stand US car show with plain crossover and poor crops. Top Gear is a real refreshing inspiration, and entertainment for us car guys lol

I ordered a camera suction mount, chestercwang, that's how the tail shot, front wheel, and driver side view was shot. It was a one man production, be creative with hardware on hands is one of my best shot to make interesting footage. And thanks for my trunk to block the wind noise!

I'm a big fan of top gear, i make sure to DVR every episode at home, and i have to say your little you tube video was pretty impressive.... With a actual budget and a camera crew, you can actually have a pretty decent show...

 

BTW was there en episode last sunday.

WOW. I, like most other people here, thought it was going to be a joke. You actually did a good job. The quality of video was not there, but the context was really good. I like how you used the music changes as you were talking about the car. It would be funny if you added the STIG and some random facts like they do in the show. Good luck with the next project.
