cool555, while I respect your opinion, I don't know how you can say Infiniti doesn't touch MB's durability and engineering. MB ranks even lower than Ford and GM in reliability - that makes me lose a lot of respect for their so-called great engineering.

Actually, I didn't say it, but I would not be getting a CLK or a SL if I had that kind of money. I might not be only driving a G35 also, but there are IMO much better cars for the money. If somebody gave me a choice between a GC and a CLK and I couldn't sell either I would take the GC anyday. If I had the money to buy a CLK, I would definitely get an M3 instead. IF I had the money to buy a SL, that's now in some really hard core territory. We're talking Viper (my dream car), 911, M5, and approaching a Modena. Mercedes just aren't my thing..... too much show and not enough go. And don't get me wrong on that, some of them (like the AMG's or the SL 500) have plenty of go, but the reason they are so high priced is just because of that three pointed star.

These Benzos dont come in Manual for 2 reasons...1) Benz=luxury, 2) Manual trans is ancient technology
these have allowed their auto's to advance further than any other company
Dont get me wrong, i love MT's but when you think about it....only 3rd world countries still use MT's in the majority of their cars.
People think Auto's are inferior, its the opposite, its all part of car-evolution, next is CVT, im not sure if SMG is really all-that great, too expensive.

Its like buying Levis Jeans vs. Sears brand jeans, they are made of the SAME material and they both keep you from freezing your bals off. But you pay double for Levis because of the brand name.
When someone drives a Mercedes or a Porsche, people think.....OOOOOO AHHHHHHHH expensive car, he must be rich, whereas in an infiniti they probably will not notice...although the G is quite different
Cars have become a status symbol in this country....you have to pay for it dearly to be upper-class status, i.e. bentley, rolls, etc.

yes, i know what an sl500 is, uncle has one and some have tried to race me already........and yes, i would take a g35C over an sl500 or CLK. G35 appeals to me more

If I pushed my dad hard enough I probably could have gotten him to get me an sl500 but it wasn't worth it ebcause a) i'm not impressed with my uncle's b) i don't like them c) coupe offers similar performance*, handling, comfort d) i get the coupe and i get more money for my bank account, hehehe

*sl may have more hp, but it weighs another 600pds and has worse gearing.


and as for your steak comment, yes, i do prefer hamburgers to steak only because i have to eat steak every single night (have to because i'm hardcore into bodybuilding and that's the best for me to eat for dinner.....but after 5yrs. of steak everynight except for the weekends it becomes teadious)
