it may just be a coinsidence, but most people refer to the g35C as the infiniti coupe, so me thinks M-B may be a tad jelous

Agreed on the country music, it has become the mainstream adult pop.... it's just like Brittney Spears or Backstreet boys for 30 year olds.
Mercedes, except for AMG (even with their rediculous prices) has become a lot of show and not as much go.

the CLK is much nicer than the G dude....plus its pillarless and looks absolutely stunning with the windows down, we were just looking at them a couple weeks ago...interior is great too, i think they come with panoramic sunroof too... but for that price you can get almost 2 G35's haha

i think that's a matter of opinion- honestly, i'd take a G over the clk or sl500 anyday. i prefer it's looks and comfort; about the only thing m-b has is the extra power, but you also have to factor in the gearing and weight and the g35 is just as quick. now, i'd pick up an sl55 AMG anyday of the week over a G, but, eh, I don't think i can get my dad to go for that idea

Yeah I'm with Atlantic...I'll take a G over a CLK any day of the week. Lookswise, comfortwise, and definitely reliability-wise. M-Bs are just not made as well as they used to be, and are ridiculously overpriced.

302 HP, is that all they can get out their 5 litre V8. Hey, when it comes to Rides, desirabilty is in the eyes and pocketbook of the beholder. I am not into badges as status symbols...I want the best bang for my buck and the our Coupes hit that spot.I'm in Southern California and all you see is Benz and BM's.....boring.

yeah reliability and service has gone down a bit since they merged with Chrystler
But comfortwise??? MB has some really nice seats and awesome interior styling (i love the G's interior too though)
MB interior is more classy where as the G is more sporty
its all personal preference dudes
maybe i should try to drop the supercharged 5.5V8 into my G sometime this summer [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] hahahaha

their engines are tuned for low-end torque thats why Growler
339 lb-ft @ 2,700 - 4,250 rpm
that is pretty impressive if you ask me
our G has about 200lb-ft thru the 3,000's and then peaks at 270 at 4800.... its all in the tuning
torque is more important than HP in real-life driving situations

This may anger alot of G35 enthusiasts, but Infiniti still can not attain Mercedes' level of engineering, durability, comfort, and power - even with the creation of the G35C. I've always hated that Mercedes has been so over-priced, but their cars have always been and will always be one of a kind. Also, if you're just looking at sheer power and semi-luxury, then why not just get an 03 Mustang SVT. A CLK to me "almost offers the perfect package (no manual), but the price is way above my budget. Actually, the only reason Infiniti finally brought out the G35C was to undercut and compete with the sales of Mercedes CLK and BMW 330Ci. So, Infiniti was probably more jealous of M-B, then the other way around. If my bank acct had an extra hundred grand somewhere =), I'd definitely pick the CLK over the G35C.

Listen, I have a G35 coupe and love it, but if I had the $ I would definitely be driving a CLK around. I agree our cars are great, but lets not be haters a CLK is a hell of a car. And for the person that said he would pick a G35 over a SL500, Who are you trying to lie to?
