I'm new to the board, and i'd just like to share,

i just purchased a '05 coupe and when i checked the oil, it was pretty low... slightly below the L line i added some oil. i made a call to infiniti of oakland, and they scheduled me for a oil change, i requested that they perform an oil consumption test, and get my gas lid looked at (it doesnt lock when the car is locked).

the lady that scheduled me was very nice, but she said the oil consumption test will take 4 hours??? i thought they top me off with oil, and i come back every 1000 miles?

can anyone here provide me with some details on how their procedure went with other dealerships?

will this extra oil consumption test cost me extra?

4 hours... I don't know about that one. I'm sure owners will chime in with their experiences.

thats what i'm saying.. i'm just preparing myself to bring the car to the dealer, like what i need and such.

 

had mines done for 2 times then stoped due to problems with the dealership, but no WAY its 4 hrs, just regular oil change every 1,000 miles
