there is no way of taking out the damage with compounds because the egg actually chips the paint off. the only solution is to repaint, and if u do repaint, u'd have to repaint the hole panel which is really pricey. up to u

when i said that i took it out with compound, it's based on personal experience (not hypothetical advice with nothing to base it on)... the damage was done on my mercedes which would have been extremely expensive to repaint, so i tried the compound... and it worked...

i wasnt tryin to be offensive man, its jsut when my OB G got egged, i couldnt get rid of the scratches with it, i guess due to the poor clear coat on our cars.

no worries, bro... i tried to exhaust the cheapest/easiest alternative before repainting as it would been an expense that i couldnt justify ... it's a ridiculous PITA to get your car egged and i hope that the OP (and whoever else is misfortunate enough) can get their car fixed as easily and cheaply as possible (and from the pics it looks like he could use a good polishing either way)...

Yeah, my cars due for a good cleaning anyways. We'll see what happens I guess..

same thing happened to me last year...washed it off and there were scratches sadly. took a day off the next day and started detailing the hell out of it. thank god it came off with the help of my friend..took us the whole day to cover the whole car. that was a pain
