Angry Someone threw an egg at my car....

Well I was driving home from my friends house at about 11:30 tonight, and I heard this really loud thump hit my car.My music was loud and it still scared the crap out of me. Thats how loud it was. So I pulled over to see that someone egged my car. First reaction was to look for the little sh*theads. So I drove around the area with my brights on for a bout 5 mins. I decided I better get it washed. Well I get to a carwash as soon as possible and quick run it through. Long story short. The egg messed up my paint. Here are some pics. It hit the lower right side of my car near the back tire.

Same EXACT thing happened to my gf's car.... I came home from work about a month ago, to see Egg all over her trunk. So i get out the hose, and wash it all off (it was dried up) and after everything was wash off, i have the EXACT same scratch. It's like concentric circles (made of little dots) from where the egg hit... I wish i could have been there when they did it, b/c they would of had what's coming to them....

It's weird how eggs can do that... A few months ago a bunch of d*ckwads did the same thing to a bunch of cars in my complex... After carefully removing the egg shells (because I didnt want to rub them on the paint, further causing scratches), I found damage on my car identical to yours... Initially, I applied (via PC) Menzerna's IP, followed by FPII, the results were ok but by no means perfect... So I started the process again, this time with Power Gloss, and I must say that the results were better than I expected... Near Perfect... From your pictures, it seems like you need to polish anyway, so I would suggest getting a PC/Flex and starting with a compound (like PG), followed by a polish, ending it with a finishing polish... of course after that you'll have to seal and/or wax to protect... Good luck and post pictures when you have resolved the problem...

Friend of mine had his egged too while driving home from work at night. Washed it off soon as he got home......paint was done. Insurance claim and got it repainted. Unfortunately our paint/clearcoat is weak sauce.

Is it even worth a claim for such a little spot? The deductible alone for me is $500.
