Expty Parking lot, decided to try some different launches with a friend of mine (RX-8). We weren't trying to get the fasted launch, but trying to as much tire as possible cuz my friend ordere new wheels and tires. I was just tagged along and ended up wasting my precious tires but it's all good. hehehe

As you can see the, the brutal power of the G35 coupe is clearly visible compared to the RX-8. For the RX-8 it almost seems like a good launch with 6000rpm clutch drop.

Pretty cool, gotta love the g's exhaust note compared to the RX8's. Is that a slight wheel hope on the RX8 too or am I hearing things.

sounds pretty good....rx-8 doesn't have that powerful GRUNT like the G does.

Was that G stock exhaust? it sounded amazing. And DAMN that RX8 is weak but the look good i think. the G bolted nice videos man makes me wanna go out and romp around.

 

The RX-8 does sound like it's got a little wheel hop. He has a bent wheel and maybe that's what's causing it??? It's also the reason why he's upgrading to 19"s and also the reason why he's trying to burn off his tires.

The thing is if I launch at a lower rpm I get what sounds like some wheel hop too. Why is that?

Oh and I have a stock exhaust with only a Nismo CAI. The RX-8 is completely stock.

He should drop his clutch at 8000Rpm. He would definitley get a better launch.

Is that the best way to launch a G? 4000rpms or 2000rpms?

 

@ 4000rpm there is slightly excessive amount of wheel spin. So I say at around 3000 rpm it should be the best
