Best place to buy a used G35?

I'm looking to purchase a used G35 coupe within the next couple of weeks. I've been looking online at Infiniti dealerships in the surrounding area and at Autotrader. Is it better to buy a used G35 coupe from an actual Infiniti dealership (which tends to have higher prices), or is it better to buy from independent car dealers usually found on Autotrader (that tend to have slighlty cheaper prices)?

I'm worried that the independent dealerships might have cars with a more questionable history (wrecks), but maybe I'm just being paranoid...? How many of you guys have bought from these types of dealers? What was your experience with them? Have your G35s turned out to be a hassle when buying from them? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Not only for my G35, but for any car me or my family has went out to purchase, I've found those small places to really be a waste of time for too many reasons to list.. maybe its cause I'm in NYC and there's a lot of dirt bag sellers here, but thats my experience

I'd highly recommend getting your G35 from an infiniti dealer, the extra price you pay is worth the peace of mind IMO

^^dont most used car dealerships offer atleast a 2 week warranty on any car you buy from them?

i buy all my cars through a dealer friend. known him since we were kids...i just let him know exactly what i want (year, model, color, miles....etc) and he buys it for me at one of the many car auctions in either GA or FL....can beat the prices at a dealer only auction!!!! atleast 2-3k less than market rates....sometimes even more!....

well i bought the 8 year extended warranty from them when I bought my car. The clutch is a wear and tear item, meaning they couldn't replace it.

Buy from original owners, take it to your mechanic! I don't trust dealers whether infinit or personal business, they all lie....

i would not put alot of trust in any dealer, even a infiniti one but that may just be from be because one was not really honest with me. (Gold Coast Inifiti, i would higly suggest to avoid them)

Its funny how many people think their experience is standard. It really depends on several factors that you'd need to tell us before I would advise.

How are you funding it?
How good are YOU under the hood?
Where do you live?
Do you have a good mechanic?
Whats your price range?

All these are factors that will change where you should look for your car.

Buy a certified pre-owned from us

1.9% financing on G sedans for 60 months on a USED car, and a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty.

Guys,

1. I will probably finance through the dealership....I have good credit so this shouldn't be a problem.

2. I have no mechanic experience so am useless under the hood.

3. I live in Laredo, Texas......the nearest Infinit dealership to me is in San Antonio ,Texas......Gunn Infiniti (159 miles away), but am willing to travel to Austin, Dallas or Hosuton if need be.

4. I know a good mechanic but I don't think he's too familiar with modern cars, especially Infinitis....he's more into classic, American muscle cars.

5. Price range: I don't want to finance more than 24,000 (that's already including Tax, title, and license)

Based on these factors, where do you think I should purchase from?
