Re: Custom blacked out grille
G35Girl...thanks for the compliment...I painted the grille a low glass black and the emblem a high gloss black. Yeah I'm 17...but if you look at the cars in my school, the G is nice, but nothing like "holy [censored]!". There are 4 other coupes which students have. I drive it fine with dress shoes actually...as its an auto. I will try to get up more pics in the next few days specifically of the system, tvs, and also I did a nice Valentine One installation where I managed to hide the unit behind the rear view mirror (rear detection still works perfectly) and put the remote unit by the speedometer. I also painted my caliper red and put caliper decals from www.xenonmods.com on them...its looks sick...the mt.fugi logo on the back and "infiniti" on the front. I actually didn't take the G to the prom though...my pops let me take his 745 there .....oh god that thing is a beast from 60-beyond. 0-60 feels about the same or slightly slower than mine, but when I was driving 70 and punched it, I was seeing into the triple digits in no time! If anyone wants more info on how to do the grille just let me know...I think im actually going to buy a data sys. or gialla (sp?) grille to replace it.
BTW....the wax that I used was that waxing frenzy stuff that there was a big thread on...the stuff is hott. It's mad easy to put on and my car was shiny like that and the car wasnt even clean..it had water marks from the crap weather here in jerz. I'd def recommend the wax to anyone here, its the first time i've ever waxed anything and it looks pretty damn good.
