The Volvo C70 comes with either a light pressure turbo (197hp) or the high pressure turbo (~236hp i believe).
My car (Volvo S60 T5) has 247hp and I don't think i could touch a G coupe from a standing start.
I made the mistake one time a few months ago of pulling up with a 350z at a stoplight (not like i was really trying cuz i know better, but i wanted to see what the nissan could do). it absolutely punished me.
And i definitely wouldn't be able to keep up with a G as soon as the road started getting curvy... the suspension tuning on my car is terrible... like Road & Track said about my car, "a motor looking for a chassis"
volvos are not really sporty cars... some of the new ones just happen to be unnaturally quick for what they are

the S60R is tricky, because it makes a huge difference if it is an A/T or M/T.
The 6-speed puts down 298 torque while the auto is only ~260. I test drove one with an auto and was like "this is not much quicker than what i have now", although the AWD and active suspension system help considerably with the handling

i was very close to gettin a s60r 6speed. but the interior..particularly the gearbox, and the dull fact that its a volvo made me think othewise. it is however a huge step for for volvo in the performance market so good on them....

a 350z punishing a g35 coupe?? uh i dont think so...unless you consider neck and neck a punishment. I raced one about a month ago, both completely bone stock. We were side by side the whole time.
Btw the 350Z I raced was a manual with an excellent driver and mine's an auto.
