Re: Biggest Complaint???

In Reply:
(too many young punks driving what should've been an upscale sophisticated car catering to people 35 or older . . . .)

CONS- too many old dudes thinking it should've been when its not, and get over it to all those 35 yr old haters that wish they could have had a car like this when they were 23yrs old...

Pros- exhaust note as I pass those older haters :<)

Re: Biggest Complaint???

I just read that they are raising the price of the 2005 G. I'm so glad b/c it seems that they are refining the car and raising the price!!! That way less and less young punks (not backing off on that one) will be driving the car.

Oh, and to the comment that we "older" G drivers are jealous b/c we weren't driving a car like the G when we were 23. Ah, wrong. I had a 1992 VW Corrado VR6 the first month it came out. At the time, that car had no equal.

Re: Biggest Complaint???

Complaint: driver's seat sits higher than passenger's and the seat doesn't recline enough going back. Not the vertical portion, but the horizontal. I had a 300ZX that had awesome seats. These are nice, but a little lower would be nice. I'm 6'4" so it's a big difference for me.

Compliment: Point and shoot driving. This car handles great.

Re: Biggest Complaint???

Complaints, Lets see:

Overweight (weight is the enemy!)
VDC way overly sensitive
Ergonomics of switches and feel of switchgear sucks (for example they put the panel lighting, VDC, and Trunk release all close together in some hidden hard to find location?, wow bad!). Center console does not look well thought out.
Accelerator lag
No oil pres, voltmeter gauge
no keylocks for passenger door and trunk (what's with that?)
Dashboard lighting bad in daytime with lights on
cannot read clock at night (lamp too dim)
CD loads slow
White headliner with black interior?
Cup holder location

Complements:
Torquey V6, almost small block V8 power!
6 speed transmission available
Nice shifter , easy clutch
Good Brakes
rear wheel drive, LSD
Fold down rear seats
Available in base configuration (without premium package fluff)
A lot of car for the money

Ok that's what I have found in 1 week of driving it. Overall a step up from the Acura CL-S I was driving.

2004 G35 Coupe, 6-MT, silver/black... 91 NSX, black/black... 74 AMX, white/White

Re: Biggest Complaint???

Cons:
- The position of the seat controls causes that boldster to be too intrusive and I have to constantly adjust myself to feel comfortable in the seat.
- No seat memory

Pros:
- Perfect balance between handling and absorving road imperfections
- Exhaust note when you step on it in 1st and 2nd
- Have not seen anything out there in this price range that would make me want to trade in my G
- Constant compliments, it hasn't grown old on people yet
- Sillouette
- 6th gear
- Torque
