Driver side air vent rattle finally solved
2006 6mt - I noticed a rattle from the driver side air vent. I finally localized it to the plastic joints of the circular air vent itself. Synopsis of the fix is:
1. Remove the 10 mm bolt adjacent to the hood release.
2. Partially remove the plastic door trim next to the infiniti kick plate.
3. Pull off the rubber door seal next to the air vent and the lower driver side panel.
4. Move the steering wheel to the highest position.
5. With moderate force, pull down on the left side of the lower plastic piece just so that a gap forms below the air vent.
6. Remove the air vent with moderate force - held with metal clips only, no screws/bolts.
7. Disconnect the security light power source.
8. Remove the circular air vent piece by removing the one larger screw and gently pulling.
9. There will be 4 plastic clips on the vent itself that squeeks/rattles. I purchased ABS cement on this area and let dry.
10. Reinstall everything in reverse order.
Standard DIY/use information at your own risk apply.
Pros: The rattle is finally gone.
Cons: If for whatever reason your air vent breaks, you have to purchase the entire component since the ABS is there for good.
I searched the recalls and several forums and did not find this as a problem.

Cool with your work....I also don't want to jack your thread and certainly don't want to start new one almost the same topic....
Doors rattleling .... Went to Ho Depot and got me a can of insulation foam. Took the doors panels off and sprayed almost everywhere that has gap and some extra for the OEM cusions. Works great, no rattle and less road noise as well.

My girlfriends car has this exact problem, any easier solutions than the one above (outside of wedging something in it)?
Edit: Nevermind, found this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/...nt-rattle.html
