Re: 8000k hid fogs on my coupe
Very nice...Gets rid of those ugly yellow looking fogs we have...Can I ask how much? And was anything else needed, such as upgrading the harnessing..Or can the factory wires handle the extra power?
Re: 8000k hid fogs on my coupe
hey very nice,
could you give some details...like:
1) How much and where to get them
2) Do you have to install ballasts?
3) Did you install them urself?
4) Anything else we should know about, troubles, problems, etc

well they were 350 cuz i have a hook up the install is a pain in the a$$ but its well worth it as for the harness yes it can handle it but you have to upgrade the fuse from a 15 to a 20 no biggie

Re: 8000k hid fogs on my coupe
Does it make a difference by adding a 8000k HID fog light?
I am planning to get a G, if everythign goes well.. .I am planning to swap my 6000k into the headlight, and swap the original headlight bulb to the fog light with a blue cap ( of course, i have another set of high voltage charger bundled with the 6000k)
But i dont know whether this will make the road look better... if you can, can you post some pix before turning on fog light and after??? that would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet =)

Re: 8000k hid fogs on my coupe
Yeah.. I was being unclear
What I really meant was that I have a set of Phillips HID, both bulbs and alternator/charger/whatever that metal box with wire thing is called
I am assuming that the HID bulbs are inter exchangable... So I will swap my Phillips 6000k HID BULB into the headlight, and take the OEM bulb (probably 4300K) with some blue cap covered on into fog light area, which is connected to my Phillips alternator/charger/whatever that thing is called.
In this case, I pay zero dollar and I get HID headlight and foglight =) as long as my assumption IS correct
Hope this makes it clear

To the original poster,
Does the 8000K make your headlight look somewhat green from a distance? Or purple? I'm looking for a greenish looking bulb and if you can direct me toward one, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Re: 8000k hid fogs on my coupe
Green? I dunno about that, dude. The spectrum of HID lighting goes from white (4300K) to blue (6000K) to purple (10000K+).
Do you mean green like this?

That is a picture of a stock G35C, it's just the angle that makes it look that way.
