I raced a friend's 330ci in an empty parking lot from 0 to 100. I actually started a fraction of a second before he did so I don't know how much that would have affected the final outcome. But with that said, I won by about 3 car lengths. At first I didn't think 3 car lengths is alot, but when I thought about it, I remembered how people said they killed/got killed by a carlength and realized that it's a big difference.

We both had a perfect launch and perfect shifts. His car is a 2002 330ci 5spd with sportspackage and my car is a 2004 coupe 6spd fully loaded. We are also both dark blue which is pretty cool. Anyway...

The video is cut a little in the beginning since the guy who was taping also had to give us the go signal. Also it's cut a little at the end cuz it was impossible to see the difference anyway. We definately need a chasing car who can tape us while we're doing this. Anyway I don't know how well you can see from this vid but I'm on the right and the 330ci is on the left.

The other day I raced a ham and turkey on wheat. Wasn't pretty. The dang sandwhich spit mayo all over my windshield as it was yelling "who's your daddy" at me. :-P

Worked for me. ya 330's are no problem they are like a lite lunch in my eyes.

 

Do you consider 3 carlength a "no problem"? I'm sure I can gain on the 330ci everytime, but with one small screw up I'm sure I would have lost. I felt like he was right behind me the whole time.

anyway it's a parkinglot for Mellon Arena in downtown Pittsburgh. I live about 100 ft away from there so I can always do some runs or donuts and hide right away in my parking lot It's great when it rains or snows!

hmm...at 100mph..3 car lengths is not that much..to be honest..nice race though

Middle of third? Then you had 3 cars on him by 70. Our 3rd gear is 61 (top of 2nd) to 88 mph when racing.

Oh yeah... end of third gear is 90... I don't know why I thought I raced til about 100mph. Sorry folks my bad. The race was from 0 to about 70ish. Also I did get a tiny head start. like a fraction of a second.
