Re: Raced an M3

First, everyone is assuming this is the E46 M3. If this is the older E36 M3, it should be a much closer race.

Second, everyone is assuming the M3 driver was a good driver. Certainly you can beat a bad M3 driver who is manually shifting. However, with two comparable drivers, the M3 will win, but as someone else stated, there's significant price difference between the two cars.

Re: Raced an M3

It was a brand new e46 and I was listening to his car and his shifting was smooth as silk the whole way up to 100 which is when he stopped. He seemed like a good driver. Also, I was thinking about getting a vortech. Can anybody tell me which parts interfere with it. I mean for example, I'm going to have to take out my injen intake. Stuff like that. Headers, pulleys, ecu, etc....

If Havok really kept up with the "M3" then i'm guessing it's a 3 series that has a m3 bumper on and /////M3 emblem on

Slipknot fan, huh?

Keep in mind that the torque numbers are very similiar in our cars, and that is what counts off the line. I could see it being pretty close to maybe 30 or 40, but that is when the M3 will start to pull...it's got an extra 1.5k of rpm range to work with.

If you're going to buy a supercharger, the crank pulley and the intake will be removed.

Cry Havok:
Yeah I love slipknot. Wait and Bleed is my favorite song.

Also, I know it was an M3 because it had the grills on the side. Alsok, it had dual exhaust and had the M3 emblem.

Re: Raced an M3

havok...must be something with the name and spelling it with a k

On a side note,
I just got their new cd(which doesn't officially come out until the 25th )...I'm liking it more and more the more I listen to it. "The subliminal verses." There are a few slower songs that aren't their norm but are growing on me a lot.
