Can not pull out oil dip stick ?????
Ever since I purchase my G-coupe in July of 2003 I have never pull out the oil dip stick. Now my car have 3600 miles on it now I decided to change the oil myself and for some unknown reason, the dip stick can not be jarred or moved. It seems to be stuck for some reason or is there a lock on it ? I have tried to pull it as hard as I can but it will not move. Is there a locking mechinism ? I guess I have to take it to the dealership for the oil change now.

no locking mech.. but it doesnt come straight up. its angled toward the intake tube.. If you just pull up, it wont come out. Dont use the ring, reach further down, grab it closer to the grommet (you'll have more leverage) and pull out at an angle. I bet that helps. G.L.

Look further down in the posts- I had the same problem and so do a lot of other people.
Essentially, you need a mule team to pull it out and a team of dedicated and highly skilled surgeons to get it back in. Dumbest thing on the entire car.
Nice thing about getting old- my Insurance Premiums are less then yours!
