Question Heated seats, dealer say im screwed, advice?

So I have an 05 G35 coupe. I took it into service because the heated seats barely get warm even on high. He says this is just how it is with "older" G35's. Anyone else have this same issue that can concur with what he is saying?

Thanks!

I didn't think mine even worked. I bought it in the summer and it didn't even feel like it was on. I went out in the middle of the night when it was cool and turned it on and sure enough it does work but much like yours it's enough to tease me and then it cycles and cools. I just turn it off and back on again to get it to cycle. I have an 04 coupe and it seems the passenger side gets warmer. I have heard a lot of complaints about this myself.

I have an 04 and the passenger works great and the driver sometimes work. When it does work it seems like it shuts down after it gets too hot but doesn't start back up. I guess it doesn't matter since I live in Phoenix and I need cooled seats instead.

the heated seats are realitive to ambient temperature. if its hot outside your not going to feel hot, best way to check them is it has to be nice and chilly outside and have a digital pyrometer and check the surface temp of the leather on a heated seat that is on to the passenger seat that is off.

when the heater element has to be replaced you have to replace the leather trim assembly and thats where it helps to have an extended warranty since its like 2g's per seat.

my brother turned mine on as a joke in az in the middle of summer, I didn't even really notice I hope its not weaksauce I was looking forward to it in the winter.

Does the climate control settings have anything to do with how hot the seat might get or no?
