clean carfax.

I know the dealer will argue and argue void warranty, and they probably have something to back it up....

I got screwed out of around 27 I payed with taxes, and extended warranty.

Shoulda went new I guess... I might get the clutch fixed. trade it in, and get a new car.

Even tho i'll be taking 4-5k loss...
Should have gotten it inspected by real mechanic before you got it, the 100-point inspection or whatever. 90% of the problems are not going to be apparent to your father.

And wtf? you got an 04 for 27k? I can get an 06-07 for that amount.

I bought it from a dealer called. Carbiz autos.
In Pikesville MD.

They denied any motor problems twice, when I took it in for service.
Sigh.... I wish I could get my money back, and go new. or something..
I love this car to death, but I cant justify spending 8grand already after 1 month.

im 17 btw.

They think they can "F" you over since you are 17... Don't take that crap from them PERIOD... Tell them they can either fix it to your satisfaction or you will go to BOTH the BBB and the Attorney General!!

i'd get a lawyer, preferably yesterday, stop driving it so they cant say you made it worse. I think the company is going to try and give you a very hard time because your 17 and they think they can. Sorry for the pains, man

Yeah, Thats what I think the problem is... Im 17.
I mean I can get my mother to talk to people, and work stuff out, but she can only do so much.

Is there anyway for the dealer I bought it from to do a buyback or trade me G35's? They have like 5 there.

I mean Im 17, working full time, apprentice electrician, but I CANNOT afford 8grand for a new motor. By that time I should have bought a new car.

Damn, Damn, Damn.

You need to go in there and be polite but FIRM... Tell them you want either another "G" or a FULL refund. If they give you trouble let them know you researched the "BBB" and the Attorney General, and that your father has a lawyer on retainer for this sort of thing...

Get the service records for the car printed out from Infiniti which shows that the car had these problems before you bought it, bring that in with you and they will play ball... I worked at a dealership for a bit and know the crap they try and pull... it is complete BS...

Just remember to be polite, you get much further that way.

They are trying to refuse the warranty sold to him because the previous owner had put a CAI on it and the engine got hydrolocked

You got hustled, and is still being hustled But damn seriously, that sucks man I hope you resolve this issue, prepare for a major head ache man.

Triji I agree with you, having to be hired at a car dealer before and having many good friends worked in one, I know exactly how it is too. But personally from many friends that have told me and seeing how they work and if I were them, the salesmen are only there to make money. They're not going to want to give their commission back no matter what, and honestly deep inside almost every salesman's stomach they don't give a fvck about the customer. I mean he could be just reporting and complaining, and the guy won't even tell his boss and throw it out the window. Seeing how many friends/dealers work, if they did this and you threatened to bring the bbb and attorney, they'll still tell you to eat a diick lol. But O.P I'm on your side here, good luck to you, but reality is reality, people get ripped off, and sometimes its just too hard to do anything about it. Welcome to America, if this was some other country you just shoot him

A car salesman I knew personally personally once told me " I dont give a rats **** about these pigeons, they're all walking dollar signs to me, if they get ripped off they can't do much if you play it right, bless America, I love this country." ---yeah he was a minority hahaha

Exactly, I have an extended warranty ,not from Infiniti ,but from some company, i got through the dealer I bought the car from.

I really hope ,that once I get old service records with the problem listed, and my new diagnostic with the same problem remaining, that I can get something done.

Should I be going to Infiniti and arguing the void manufactureres warranty? or to Carbiz, to argue the car they sold me.. Which has had 4 or 5 problems now in 1 month.

I wont take I got hustled for an answer.
Im 17, I wont let people **** all over me already.

Its a god damn shame. I dont know who to blame here.

I guess myself for buying a used car.
The dealer for probably knowing all of this.
Or Infiniti for voiding the warranty, without proof CAI did it.

It has 66k miles on it now. I didnt notice when I bought it ,but there is a tapping in the motor.

I went back to the dealer I bought it from twice now about the noise, because i was covered under 30day MD used car warranty.

They both times, changed the oil.

So i call infiniti to schedule a diagnostic, and when they run the VIN they see that at 58k miles it was in the dealer for "motor tapping".

Basically at 58k, from the previous owner, having non oem intake, and other things on the car, cylinder 5 is hydrolocked, and bent piston rod or something rod for cylinder 5 also.

Because of him, with the non oem parts, the factory warranty is now void.

They suggest a new shortblock motor which is 8600$.

What can I do.. I just bought it a month ago, I didnt think it was possible to sell a car at a dealer with those problems...

Anything at all I can do here?
Wait so having a non OEM intake can cause a problem liek this ? and well as others . ****

Go to infiniti and have them print out the maintanance records for you... Then go back to Carbiz and have them fix the situation. The warranty is not thru Infiniti so there is really not much they can do for you unfortunately except to print out the records for you.

They sold you a car that should have been looked at / inspected before they sold it and any mechanic worth their salt could diagnose a mis-fire in the engine.... they would have noticed that when they brought it in as a trade and probably didn't give very much at all for the trade...

That is what they call a ten pounder in the biz...
