heh.. 325's are sooo slow dude.. You shouldnt even bother with them.. Try hanging with the M class. or the newer Z class Beams, they might give you a run for your money.. I just smoked a 330CI... but it did keep up..
Anyways, I usually launch at 2 1/2 - 3 for a great start... what did you use for the beamer?

Met up w/ some friends of mine and did a bit of racing last night. (2001 m3, newer 325, and a highly modded rsx-type S). The rsx just got an intake and comptech exhaust put on, and he actually thought he could roll with me. Lauched high (bout 4000-4500) VDC off and spun way too much, but still pulled on the rsx in first, and end of third had a few car lengths ;-) (I love high reving 4s; I had a 01 prelude, but come on...there's just no torque). Anyway, then the matchup of the nigth was me and the M3. First run i launched at a shade above 3, say 3100-3200. Fully let out on the clutch and feathered the gas...very little wheelspin...maybe a chirp. Took him off the line, (he spun too much), and i was surprised that he wasnt able to catch up. (333 hp!). By the middle of 4th he started to close the half car gap, but then we shut it down. Second run, i launched bad...2500, and he beat me by a half car. So I dunno, i think this race comes down to the driver. I was expecting to be beat. Top end we dont have a chance...but our slight torque advantage, and (he was in a convertible E46) weighing bout 400 lbs less helps. Launching at about 3000 rpm seemed to work best for me last night. (only had 2 runs against the e46, cuz he did somethign screwy messing w/ the rsx and got spooked that he messed up his baby...silly bmw owners ;-)
