How long do you plan on keeping your G?
This thread comes at an interesting time for me. I'm trying to decide if I want to "keep" this car pretty much forever . . . Or get out of it now and replace it with something that may not look as good but will be easier to drive fast on U.S. roads. I'd rather not coin up right now for a C63 so I am considering a 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP 6MT, '09 Challenger SRT8 6MT, or an '08-'09 Jeep GCSRT8.

I got a baby on the way and that's making me consider trading it in for a G sedan. I hate the thought, but the G coupe is not meant for babies. I wish it was.
So I'm holding on, tooth and nail until I can't no more.
FYI, due to the oil consumption issue, I just got a new engine put in last week!

Until I can tell my son, "Yup... that's what we used to cruise in. You can hardly find any gasoline for it anymore though". (about 8 years, give or take 1... probably give)
While It's not my 1st car, I'd like to consider it the first one worth owning. And "everyone regrets selling their 1st car" so I think I'll keep her around awhile... just to take up garage space.

Yeah I will be keeping my G forever. She has 102,000 miles on her, and I have decided to give her a new Cosworth VQ35DE and APS twins as a gift in the near future. Yeah the G's spoiled LOL!!

I'm keeping my for a long long time.
I love this car.
I'll keep on putting new engines in it if it needs to but I'm keeping it till it evaporates.
My cousin has a 1995 Nissan Maxima with 240k miles on original engine and transmission.
That's my goal for my G (and then some)
