How long do the stock Brembo rotors usually last?

Hey guys,

Anyone know how long the stock Brembo rotors usually last under normal driving? I just hit 54k and I'm about to change my pads. I'm thinking about changing my rotors while I'm at it.

Thanks,
Jeff

It all depends.Have the rotors been swapped before? Do the rotors have any life to them?

u dont really wanna put new pads on old rotors. not that it wont work alot of people do it but they never really burn in properly since the grooves on the rotors are from the previous pads. as well as they new pads night not make full contact of parts of the rotor are cut and grooved.

They are the original Brembo rotors that came with the car when I purchased it brand new. They have been turned/resurfaced once during the last time I changed my pads.

under normal driving conditions with little abuse and no signs of warpage, you could probably get close to 75k-miles out of them, assuming they are OEM with OEM pads.

New they are 30mm thick, they probably have a minimal wear rating of 28mm or 26mm.

As long as your new pads are bedding properly and the rotors aren't showing signs of warpage, keep them until they hit those minimal wear levels.

just measure how thick they now; new 30mm, then if it isn't too bad of wear, i would just get them resurface them. pepboy will do it for you 15 a rotor? not too sure about the price, but they are not too expensive!

I already got mine resurfaced the last time I changed my brake pads, which I think was at 30k miles? I'm currently at 54k.
