Rattle

I got my G35 a week ago. Great car - the car just can't wait to take off. I had to ease off on the gas pedal.
However, I am hearing a distinctive rattle at speeds about 35 mph - I am not sure if this is coming from the sun roof or from the passenger side door/windows - any one out there have similar problems? - know what can be done apart from taking it to the dealer?

Re: Rattle

it is probably the passenger seat belt hitting the passenger door panel

Re: Rattle

Yeah the seatbelts on this car are the only big design flaw I can find. The passenger side is constantly having to adjusted to keep from banging, and I almost always get the drivers belt stuck in the door when I get in.

Anyone else have that problem?

Re: Rattle

the only time I notice the seat belt being a problem is when I have to reach back to put it on. Otherwise, it's never caused a rattle or anything.

Re: Rattle

I've found and fixed all the "rattles" that bothered me. One was my gate opener that I had in the sunglass holder on the roof, the other is the seatbelt hitting the side, the sunroof can rattle every once in a while if it's tilted and the cover is closed...the other I found to be my keys hitting the steering colum.

Re: Rattle

By the way I bent the "arm" a little bit more and it seems to do the trick..

Re: Rattle

My glove compartment latch rattles on one specific road, hard to duplicate. The latch is a little loose. Hard to dup for the dealer since the road where it happens is 30 mi away...

Yikes, must be a very bumpy road.

Re: Rattle

I got fed up with it and now have my passenger's side seat belt buckled at all times, even when I'm alone. No more rattle.
