Cool State Trooper

Going to work on 95 here in South Florida this morning. I was cruising in the #2 lane next to the HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lane since it was just me I stayed off of it. I get a trooper come flying past me in the HOV lane and almost locks them up when he gets even with me.

He pulls along side me and is giving me the ole stink eye. I'm thinking what the F### ? I wasn't speeding and I'm in the correct lane ?! Than he gets behind me and proceeds to follow me for another 8 miles. I get off on my exit for work and he still follows me, I'm like great I've what now ?

He pulls next to me and rolls his window down at the light and says to me. Hey mind if you pull over for a second I'm really thinking of buying one of those. I laugh and said you almost made me SH## my pants.

He wanted to talk to an owner and I said, buy it man you won't be sorry. Nice guy, wound up giving me an FOP card for my trouble.

NICE!!!!

Fraternal Order of Police card. It works like a free get out of a ticket. They usually only give them to close friends or family members. Most cops honor them since they figure if you show one you must be related to a cop in someway.

not sure what it is ,but is it the card that u give to the 5-0 when they pull you over. they see that card and they wont give you a ticket. one of my teachers has one and was telling us about it because of what he did for a cop in highschool

Re: Cool State Trooper

lol
i had a cop do that to me once here in brooklyn
NO, i do not have my G yet (actually i just started paper work for one - should have it by mid-june YaY) anyway,
my license plate right now is "DJ NOOCH". I had this cop follow me for an easy 25 blocks, until finally he puts his lights on and pulls me over - I'm like wtf man i didnt do anything (i said that to myself ofcourse) - cops comes up to the window and i roll it down he says "hey" i said "hey?" (confusion in my voice) he continues "do you dj alot? do big parties and stuff? clubs? or mobile work?" i said "mainly clubs but i have a small mobile company im trying to get off the ground" he said "sorry to scare you but i've been looking for dj's for my daughters sweet 16, do you have a business card?" i gave him one we talked for a few more minutes and that was that. funny stuff - see the G would help alot more i can stick a few biz cards in the "card holder" hahaha lol too bad im getting rid of those plates when i get the G =/

LOLOLOL

It really woke me up that morning. I didn't need my double espresso to make me feel like I needed to SH##.

Yeah by the way the cards work about 95% of the time. Unless you get a DIC##### who doesn't care who you know.

Re: Cool State Trooper

Actually those FOP cards help but there not as good as a PBA card with FOP cops get as many as they like but with the PBA card they actually have a limit to them. Atleast you got something other than a ticket from him.

Re: Cool State Trooper

True. I once saw a card my friends dad gave him. National Association of Chiefs of Police. Obviously his dad was a chief somewhere. Thats one of the ultimate get out of jail free cards.

The stuff he got out of with that card when we were kids still blows my mind.

Re: Cool State Trooper

My friend in Indy (KevMoe on here) has a FOP license plate. Still got a ticket with it... odd, huh? My grandfather was the chief of police in Indianapolis, and that's helped me out a few times. In my ignorant youth, I was going 98 in a 45 (DON'T DO THIS), and got a verbal warning.

Re: Cool State Trooper

This is just one more reason why I hate cops.

First, why is he conducting his personal business on watch? Get out there and bust people with the tax dollars I'm paying on my house.

Second, it's tantamount to extortion, giving FOP stickers to people and/or letting those off that donated "extra" money to the cops that I already funded with my property tax.
