Cool State Trooper
Re: Cool State Trooper
Cat,
Wow. All that to say it's trivial. Why do you even bother pointing it out if it isn't a big problem? If you're alluding to some "greater" issue, I still don't see you listing any at all. I don't think cops going to nudie bars is a large problem affecting the force. Maybe it is if you live in Hokey Town USA with one sheriff and his bloodhound, but I don't see it happening where I live. You somehow make it out to seem like a majority of cops are doing it. Maybe I should go nuts about the few restaurant workers that don't get my order right and then say all restaurant employees are idiots. Do you see how your generalizing one instance and projecting it on all officers? I suppose you won't. It just seems like a waste of time to call something to attention when it's one isolated situation. Maybe your dad was a police officer and he use to have totalitarian control over you so now your projecting your anger at the government/law enforcment? Makes sense to me.
Tak,
All I want to know is how can one person use so many "...'s"?

lol..sorry....i usually type like i am talking..."..." is when i pause in my speech =)
i don't think its catatafish's point to generalize anything to say "all cops are like this..blah blah blah"...but i think he is trying to say that cops SHOULDN'T do this because he had seen something like that happening...and he felt that it wasn't justified for THOSE cases....so...i think he made it very clear that he respect cops and all other professions but not the behavior SOME decided to take....
i for one REJECT how cops r "public servants"...i mean...seriously...you do what you get paid for (again..not underpaid)...and now you make another name "public servant" so that you can get the public benefits? i don't really get it because ALL jobs out there are working for the public (one way or the other...not necessary directly) ..just...do your job properly...and thats good enough for everyone....still don't understand why they get a "ticket free" pass....its kinda like..since they r the law enforcement...they can break the law without consequence? thats how i look at it.....

Re: Cool State Trooper
takuyaah.... if you seriously cannot tell the difference between a cop pulling NEXT to you at a light and ASKING "hey, i was thinking about buying one of those, can you pull over and talk?" vs. Blue and red lights, officer behind you, pulling you over, and using authority....then something is seriously wrong with you!
The cop never used his authority to do what he did...
This is so ridiculous that a cop cannot even talk with a citizen in a civilized manner without SOMEONE out there pitchin a fit!
