I am picking up my coupe this weekend. Should I get a sealant coat for $440? Delear told me that it has a 5 year warantee. Your opinions is very much appreciated. I was also informed by dealer that I will not have to wax for 5 year.

 

total waste of money and a way for the dealers to get more money from you. an actual "clear coat" has already been applied to the paint. every dealer tries to get ppl to pay up more dough for crap like this.

"Clear Coat" is another name for dealer profit. If you want to really make your G look great, buy Zaino Z2/ZFX sealant or Klasse Sealant Glaze. Both will be stunning on your new car and you'll save $400.00

 

I'm sure the dealer will try to sell you "undercoat", lojack, leather conditioner and whatever else he can think of. He's just trying to put more money in his pocket by giving you nothing. Basically he wants you to pay $440 for a wax job. Spend the money on a clear bra if you want to protect the paint. All the "extras" the dealer wants to sell is just for pure profit for him. DON'T DO IT!!!

 

wow they are still running this scam. I would expect it from bob's used motors, but from an infiniti dealership sigh.

well i fell for their scam. but for 400 for me, the warranty covers a free paint job if anything happens to the paint (environmental wise). and on my previous car, some tree sap fell on it somewhere and wasn't able to come off. so if it ever happens again, free paint job. saves money no? if not oh well. either way i still CG my car.
