Re: Would you guys buy a loaner?
I would try to search for another sedan for roughly the same price. If you find one I would offer them like 19 grande for the loander and say take it or leave it. These cars can take a good amount of abuse and the warranty is pretty good. But I would still loook otherwise.

Re: Would you guys buy a loaner?
It depends... were you initially in the market for a used car in this price range? Keep in mind that most G35's are retaining a very high resale value, so if you only keep this car for 1-2 years, you might get most of your money back out of it if you sell it before the warranty runs out.
Just bringing up the counter point. (and for the record, I prefer new to used)
301-bhp!!! ...and growing!

It depends, though. If the car looks clean inside and out, and everything seems to be working and in good condition, it's not a bad alternative.
Most G35 owners are not on Internet forums and most G35 owners probably don't abuse cars, and it's pretty hard to "abuse" a car...I'm not sure I understand what you guys mean when you say "beat the hell out of them" and "abuse them".

Wouldn't be my choice at any price.
Second hand does not appeal to me especially performance loaners.
-- I'd rather wait and get new. JMHO

Re: Would you guys buy a loaner?
I dont know about you but I know that pple abuse rental cars and loaners are the same thing. Even mild mannered Joe would like to unleash he's temptations on a loaner, do things on the loaner he wouldn't do on his own car. I say if you going used go with a car with one owner cuz even a 03' would have a hard time having more than 1 owner

Re: Would you guys buy a loaner?
there are quite a few other posts concerning the average age of users...
i would only buy a loaner if i was getting it for a very good deal, don't buy it if you don't feel comfortable and you may want to have an opinion from another mechanic on the car.
Slamming on the gas and brakes and taking high speed turns (I assume this is what they mean by beating the hell out of the car) is not the best thing for it, but it's not going to die just because of it. Interestingly enough there is another thread going on right now about how people treat their own cars and most people say "i beat the hell out of them." In which case, it would be just as good to buy a loaner car than to purchase on of theirs. Personally I drive loaners safe because I don't know the car that well and what it's capable of. More importantly though, it's not mine so I try to take care of it (what a concept).
