Easy-in, Easy-out Module

I posted the following suggestion on the KPtchnologies' product suggestion board. If you think it's a good idea please post a support note. That might encourage them to actually develop the module.Easy-in and Easy-out Seat Module

by ericmbnomore on Fri Nov 14, 2008 12:22 pm

For G35, is it possible to develop a module that would retreat the driver seat when engine turned off/door opened so it would be easy to exit the car and re-enenter and then bring the seat back to its original position when door closed/engine turned on?
I think such a module would be very well welcomed in the G/Z

The G seats move very slowly. I'd be way too impatient.

Agreed. The GM vehicles that I sell have them and almost none of my customers even use the feature. Only time it is useful is in the Corvettes or if you have had way too many groceries.

You won't need to wait until the operation is complete. It will only help you get out easier by moving back the seat when you are getting out. When you are getting in the seat is already all the way back and lets you get in easily. Then moves the seat to the memorized position while you are starting the engine.
I had this on my Mercedes and the seats moved at the same speed as G.
I can tell you every body in that forum LOVED it.

Kevin( the chief engineer in Kptechnologies) believes it is do-able but is concerned about the level of interest among us.

G35 coupe is a low car and has limited room behind the wheel. That makes entering/exiting a little difficult for some. Maybe that's why Infiniti started adding this feature to all 5AT coupes beginning 2006.

knowing the prices of KPTechnologies other products, I would guess it would end up being in the $30 - $50 range.... therefore, I would buy it cause that would make it a little more convenient, especially if the steering wheel moved up too

You guys should go to that link and post your interest like me. The more people show interest, the more likely they will develop it. It's not a matter of technical difficulty. They just want to know what the level of interest there is.
