My airbag SRS light went on a couple months ago and I found the reset procedure on here and it turned off and all was well until about a week ago, it's been coming up again and soon after a reset it comes back up (usually within one day). I'm at 40k and it's an 04 so basic warranty is gone but according to my manual, SRS system and all related electronic equipment is covered on the 6year/70000mile powertrain warranty. I called a nearby dealership and they said SRS airbag issues are covered under 4 year/60k warranty. So anyone have any experience with this situation? Don't wanna end up with a 2g bill for airbag replacement.

 

It could be just a fuse.
I wouldn't take chances with a safety issue like the airbags. At least get it checked out so you know.
