New here: impressed.

Hey guys, I'm new to the G35 scene.
I've never really paid attention to the G35 before, I thought (and still think) the sedan is the ugliest mid-luxury car out there, and I've haven't seen the coupe much.

Today, I was driving back from San Francisco when i spotted a G35 coupe in front of me. We immediately hit it off, being a little playful, but traffic was much too dense to allow anything more (everyone heading up to tahoe for the long weekend). Finally, we got a little open road around 50 miles later. I was ahead about 3 car lengths when i glanced in the side mirror and saw him coming up fast. I dropped it to third (Steptronic) and went into WOT. needless to say, he got the jump on me, and quickly gained about a carlenght before i caught up to speed. I finally caught up at the end of third to where my hood was around his door. We stayed in that position, neither one of us gaining or losing much to the other, the rest of the way up to 110, when I finally shut it down because of traffic up ahead.

I was a bit suprised and impressed. Stock for stock, I'm usually able to pull away from Acura TL's, Lexus IS300s, even BMW E36 M3's (the previous US model with 240hp, not the current 333hp one) which is what i associate the G35's with. With that in mind, I just thought I would share my compliments for this car. I've always been a BMW nut, but I do give credit where credit is due. I'm definately a new fan of this car =)

Welcome.... I'm going to buy a new G35 Sport Coupe this year.... I wish the new BMW's weren't victims of getting beat with an ugly stick....as it makes the G35 Sport Coupe even more desirable since it is the most beautiful car on the road.

Before changing the transmission fluid, do the research on Red Line or Purple Royal transmission fluid. I heard these product make the shifting smoother and reduces the notchiness shift. There are few ppl talked about the transmission fluid in this link:

I find it interesting and I'm gonna give a try.
