A good place to fix Rear clickng axle problem?

I have tried search and all. Found tsb how to fix it, but I do not have the tools or room to do it myself. I also don't have warranty on my G. So anyone can recommend me a place to fix this rare axle problems in Los Angeles area? Thanks.

You can try this see if it helps. I also got a message from a g35 member with instructions how to fix this issue, if you like I can also give you a copy. Just hit me up for it. And yes I also have the same problem like you do.

unless your car is still covered under factory warranty dont bring it to the dealer. all you are doin is paying an arm and a leg to re-grease the spindles. i did it myself and it only took about an hour. no parts to buy and a hell of alot cheaper. and i have not heard any clicks since.

My mechanic just did this for me on our Z. All you have to do is loosen the axel nuts, pull them out a bit, lub them up and then retighten them.

I know, easier said then done, but someone with reasonable tools/facilities should be able to do this quickly and inexpensively.

The TSB is total overkill for what needs to be done.

maybe this will help

-take your wheels off
-pull out the cotter pins(1 on each side)
-take off the the big bolt in the middle(1 on each side)
-take off the 12 bolts on the inside of the axle where it meets up to the differential. (6 on each side) to make it easier when u have your car jacked up or on a lift leave it in neutral with the e-brake off so that u can spin the axle to be able to access all the bolts easier as u go along. let the inside of the axle hang so u have clearance to slide it out.
-slide the axles out. u may need to tap it inward from the rotor side to free it up.
- use the grease to lube the living **** out of the splines on the end of the axle that slide into the hub. dont be shy with it.
-slide the axles back in. u will not have to tap them back in now that they are lubed.
- put the 12 bolts back in
- big nuts go back on
- cotter pins go back in. i put new ones in when i did mine because they get a little mangled when u pull them out.
- wheels go back on and it wont click anymore.

this problem might be your ENDLINKS? do you have aftermarket swaybars w/ stock endlinks?

stock sways. the only thing different is the lower camber arms, and the fact the last owner ground off the little things that hold the camber bolt in place. still gotta figure out how to fix them, but even with them tightened, on a hard braking or acceleration it makes noise.

its easy to tell if u have an automatic. put the car in drive and hold one foot on the brake and keep tappin the gas with your other foot like you would if you are power braking it. but obviously dont have to spin the tires. just the pressure of the wheel tryin to break traction will make the click. all it is is the splines rubbing up against eachother in the axles. and all the dealership does is pack it full of grease so u dont hear the click. manuals would be a little tougher to make the noise tho. and i'm not sure about the click while braking... i dont think mine did that and that could be a few different things.
