depends on what you want. performance, sound or looks? for starters get some clear corners.. 30 bucks well spent. performance.. spacer, sways. sound.. cold air.. looks.. lowering springs.

On the tiptronic if u accidentally hit it it goes into 4th thats why when you start the car and put it in tiptronic its in 4th(or 5th for coupes) so if you accidentally hit it your fine

Nice G. If youre looking for sound go with a nice exhaust and/or a popcharger, something like that. For looks maybe some clear corners, lower it or whatever you think looks good. I'm still in college too and I wouldn't recommend getting too deep in bolt on performance parts, really just not worth the money for the performance. If you just want some performance though an MD spacer and some HFCs or gears would probably be the best for the money. My wheels, tint and clear corners are still my favorite mods just cuz they set the car apart from the others a bit

I'm in Knoxville as well. Save your money your going to need tires soon I've got an '06 IP 6mt and went with tint and clears and thats it. I'm going to take it up to the dragon this weekend, it should be a fun ride. From everything I've read unless you want to spend big bucks on forced induction there's not a lot of horsepower to be had from mods.

5th gear is overdrive, you won't be in that gear unless you put it in. If you move it to manual at 60+ you will be in 4th

lol 5th gear is overdrive??? In auto the car shifts to 5th gear around 60mph, but if you shift over to tiptronic, like everyone else has said, it will downshift to 4th...

Basically when u shift to tiptronic it will stay in the same gear it was in unless you are in 5th, in that case it will downshift to 4th...

My first mod was wheels, then clears, then the z tube and pop charger, for a nice sound...

5th Gear isn't overdrive.

And op, with $1000, get some sway bar to reduce body roll, and a motodyne plenum spacer. After that you have about $500 to decide what you want to do, I would save for an exhaust, high flow cats, and cold air intake.

Oh yea and I forgot, buy clear corners. They cost about $30 and they replace the orange ones on your front bumper. Also, look for Blue_Bat overlays instead of painting your taillights.
