Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

As mentioned in previous post I ordered this vehicle in an extreme rush and didn't get all of the particulars on the options. Is the "Sport Suspension" option same as the "Tire & Wheel package" option or are these two seperate options? Kelly's Blue Book only has T&W pack not Sport Susp. pack. What does Sport Susp. offer?

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

Is this the coupe or the sedan? This is what the Infinit Web site listed for the (sedan) suspension package. It does not list the T&W.
Sport-Tuned Suspension Package
• Sport-tuned shock absorbers and springs
• 17-inch, 5-spoke aluminum-alloy sport wheels
• 215/55R17 W-rated high-performance summer-compound tires
• Additional titanium-tinted interior trim

This is standard on the 6MT sedan.
Hope this helps.

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

"better" is subjective.. you could argue the sedan's is better because it's not as rough and clears more potholes. Maybe which sport suspension is "sportier" would be the "better" question?

Ok then which one is more sportier? If it is the coupe is there any suspension upgrade for the sedan?

I think Rambo handled your first question. And the answer to the second one is, "Yes."

I like the stock sport suspension on the sedan, myself. I wouldn't want it stiffer. But there's the Eibach Pro kit, JIC Coilovers, and probably some others to come soon.

Ok well what is the best tires option for the sedan? Will 18 make the car handle a little better?

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

Some would say yes. I would say that when you go to 18's, you usually go wider as well, and it's the wider part that helps more than anything else, so just switching from a 215/55R17 to a 235/50R17 tire should make a difference (plus, you can pick a brand that's better than the OEM choices -- another variable in the equation). On the flip side, larger wheels weigh more, increasing your unsprung weight, which will reduce handling. I'm sure it's possible to find some lightweight 18's or 19's that weigh less than the stock 17's, but I don't know how much the stock 17's weigh, so I can't help there.

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

Andrew... I've ordered the G35 Coupe Auto (arrival end of the month) with the following options: Premium Package and Sport Tuned Suspension etc.... as detailed on my customer order request. The G35 coupe (Auto) does not come standard with the Sport Tuned Suspension but can be added as an option. The Coupe (manual) does come standard with the Sport Tuned Suspension.

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

won't going to a wider than stock 17" tire also increase unsprung weight? or will this vary by tire manufacturer?

No man, the coupe suspension is the same no matter what... at least in the US. Are you in Canada?

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

You might want to make sure you aren't being charged extra for something that comes standard. Sport tuned suspension comes standard for the coupe, regardless of the transmission.

Re: Sport Suspension Vs. Wheel & Tire Package

Ok my car came with Goodyear Eagle GS-D 17 tires are the any good? When I was looking at the coupe they told me that the wheel and tire pakage adds a "sportier suspension" I think what they ment was that the tires improve the suspension of the car but I cant be too sure on that.
