After my drive home. I pulled the car in the garage. Several minutes later smelled something burning. I checked the house and nothing, opened the garage and it was fille with smoke. I did a little spirited driving on the way home but nothing crazy. Just had the oil changed about 350 miles ago. Any ideas, thanks.

 

Check if the drain plug was put back on it might be loose or something. Check for any puddle of oil under your car.

Check near the cats. Those cats get very very hot and if the car is parked on very tall grass, it could start a fire. You might of ran over something (Like a bag) and probably melted on the cat or somewhere on the exhaust piping.

yea the same thing happened to me. I ran over a plastic bag, it got stuck under my car and a real bad smell came from the car. I looked under and there was a bag. It was attached to my cats. Those things get real hot man.

I had to use a little bit of muscle to take it off.

It's also very possible they may have spilled some engine oil on to the exhaust pipings. If so, either let them burn away or wipe off when cold.

i got an oil change once on my honda once and they spilled some oil somewhere in the engine bay. my engine started smoking a bit and smelling bad. i went back and they told me what it was. it ended up just burning off since it was so little. but as for you, check the engine and underneath. see what you find?
