FUNNY NAV PROMPT
Yesterday when I turned on my G it was hot as hell, and my NAV screen displayed:
DUE TO HIGH TEMPERATURES THE DISPLAY WILL BE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE.
Has anybody else gotten this message...........?
I thought it was funny I love all the pop ups on that thing.

Ya, it says that when you leave the Nav screen up in the sun. Thats when the crystals in the screen get too hot to transmit the signal properly. I always leave the Nav screen down when I park.

Lol, well said gsedanman. Has anyone ever gotten the VDC message??? I remember when I got into my accident I had to startup the G and bounce because this guy was running out of his house screaming "YOU MOTHERF*CKER!!!" or something along those lines. Anyways, I had to drive my car all lop-sided and all the tires were howling and my navi screen was taken over by this VDC traction control message. I don't remember exactly what it said but it was something like a VDC error or it was detecting constant slippage so it was freaking out or something....whatever it was, it wasn't pretty. =(

Yeah, mine said the same thing, then it said, "WE WILL NOW RETURN TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM ALREADY IN PROGRESS" And then Lilittle house on the Prairie came on!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. The most odd thing that ever popped up on mine was when I was low on gas and I got a low fuel warning and locations for gas stations.

I've gotten the running low on gas one and I've also gotten the VDC one. 2 out of 3. Not bad, huh?

How low on gas are you guys when the NAV says you are low on gas??
I put 17.4 gallons in my car the other day, and the NAV didn't say anything (when I went to the mileage screen, it said I had 17 miles to go before empty).

at about 25 miles left the gas prompt comes up. I've never seen the heat one, and I leave me screen up always. Now I guess I have something to shoot for!
