LOL i wouldn't get the amp. 2000w amp to run 2 12" Alpine type R's? tell him you'll give him $100 for the subs and he can keep his 2000w amp that probably puts out 200w.

As long as both coils in the subs are good, I would give him maybe 100-150. The boxes, boot. The wanna be Alpine amp, laugh and say "great paperweight" Funny thing, customer brought a 1000 watt amp he got for $100 at a expo center sale. Gave to me to install and I was like " dude this is to light. Open it up and the power wire is going nowhere. The ground and remote are turning on the power led. No circuit board, nothing else. Wow, an led and wires with a casing for a 100 bones, you got hosed tommy.

i had those same speakers in my neon. (sold the neon and bought a G ) i had a 1000 watt rockfordfasqate amp and they slammed. the box is huge though, dont think it will fit in the G and if it does you wont have any trunk space. 10ʻs fit better

Those subs are not supposed to be in large enclosure. I believe the internal cubic space is .85 in sealed box, accounting for the volume of the speaker itself. I always built the box a 1 cubic foot to allow for the woofer and let it 'boom' a little bit more. Never liked ported, to much woofer 'flutter' and easier to blow them.
