my first mod.. LEDs
my first mod.. LEDs
when i had my accord i chaned all my switches, a/c, and guages to blue LED. so i'm starting to transfer them to my G.. soon everything else.
on this one, i gotta sand the LED top flat so the light will distributed evenly through the button. I hate hot spots.

Re: my first mod.. LEDs
i'm actually doing this as well;
accordfreak, will shaving the bulbs cure the hot spots issue?
and have you thought about the plastic filters in front of the temparature and radio?
2 things guys:
1) switching bulbs isn't too difficult to do (aside from taking apart your entire dash)
2) the tough part will be switching out LEDs that are soldered on

Re: my first mod.. LEDs
hey accordfreak....did you used to have a skyblue 5th gen accord on accordclub.com? Might be just a coincedence but ur name sounds familiar. I also came up from a 5th gen accord.

Re: my first mod.. LEDs
i'll post up a how to later on. but for now basically you take out the stock bulbs out of the bulb holders.. stick the 3mm LED in to the holder.. solder the correct resistor and install the LED back into the switch. i'll go in depth later... i'm going to be out of town..
dudee OZRACER01... what screen name did you have over there?? i'm the same accordfreak from accordclub, honda-acura.net, honda-tech, superhonda.org etc i met one other guy ALSO from accordclub that owns a G now haha kinda funny ... all these 5th gen owners are owning Gs now.
dtrip35--- shaving the top of the LED should widen the angle of light of the LED. if it's not wide enough... i'd probably have to buy a wide angle LED.. i'm in the process of checking out the radio and stuff.. right now i was just testing the small stuff.
