They did the same thing with the '90-'96 300ZX- the automatic Turbo model had less HP than the 5-speed Turbo manual. The automatic couldn't handle the extra power.

Just took delivory of my 2004 6speed and then read about the new one. I'm glad they are minor changes that can be easily retrofitted to my 2004.
Is that a real **** for the volume? That was needed, but why didn't they redesign the whole center console? Many of the car reviewers complained about the center console erogonomics and I agree, The button layout is brain damaged.

15 hp sounds good. At this rate if you wait until 2009 it will probably be up to 400 hp! Always something better comming out out next year...

so some of you guys are going to trade in your almost brand-new 35 thousand dollar cars just cuz the interior has minor changes!
it doesnt seem worth it to me!

 

don't even bother trading in.. just wait a little longer and the skyline will be here in 2007.. hehe

i definitely like the new improvements that infiniti is doing.. i'm still doubtful about the interior, but i'm sure there are some who love and hate it..

bsoo - Excellent point! But you forgot that as a consumer, we also get another option, that is to go to the competitor instead of sitting tight. I feel that Infiniti is screwing AT buyers with this 15 hp difference so I'll start looking elsewhere to see my other options and therefore turning my back to this company since we have that power.

 

In order to correct some information that was posted inaccurately by someone else....

The light to the right of the HVAC is actually the passenger air bag * off * light.

I really think the sedan is uglier in the 05 on the outside. The Nismo sedan bumper is FAR more aggressive looking.

Here's a photoshop I did of the new interior in black. I also added the NAV unit to it to make it look complete. If you think about it, if you get the NAV, the top part will most likely have the brushed aluminum. That way, the NAV controls will match with the rest of the center console. I think the black makes the new interior alot more appealing b/c it complements the brushed aluminum alot better that the tan does.

MAN, THIS SUCKS FOR ALL THE COUPE OWNERS RIGHT NOW. Same with the Sedan owners right now. I wonder if i can trade my car in and get a new one.

i second that motion... who the f#$% does such major changes to a vehicle the 3rd year it comes out... this isn't just a refresh... its a friggin makeover...

i feel ripped off, my car is only 2 months old... what do i do? sell it right now? and put money down on an 05? what about a markup? waiting list?? w/e... THATS LIFE!

i say we just deal with it! we can all cry like babies, or face the facts, like men (or women!)... but i still say, f%^& Infiniti!!!

for all you out there getting the '05's... enjoy, and try not to rub it in our faces tooooo much. ; )
