Ordering a 2004

I put $500 down on a 2004 DG w/Premium and Aero. They didn't have one on the lot. After two days said they couldn't find one, and want me to change colors!!! What are the options here??? Can I order one and how long does that take?? I don't want to change colors.

since color is very important, you can place an order with a deposit.

i put my order in about a month ago. they told me then that it'll take up to 2 months...or less meaning someone else put in an order before with all of the same preferences/options that you wanted, but backed out. if this is the case, the next one on the list gets the car.

Re: Ordering a 2004

I am amazed that people have to wait so long for their cars when every time I go by the dealership or look at antoher dealership's stock online they have them in stock. Grubbs must have a 100 cars in stock (if you want to pay to have it delivered). Is everyone's combinations so unique they can't find a car?

yeah I too am surprised that meaty couldn't find it. Premium WITH Aero is the most common option combo.

Grubbs has them and you can get vpp pricing right now ($700 over invoice).

Re: Ordering a 2004

Orders can take between 2 - 3 months. I ordered mine twice (didn't order nav the first time but changed my mind so ordered again) and both orders took about 2.5 months to ship.

One thing you have to understand is that orders only go in during the first week of every month. If you order mid-month, then the order will not go through until the beginning of the next month hence adding another half month to your wait.

I ordered my coupe back in November because there wasn't anything remotely similar to what I wanted ... Red on Graphite with Premium, NAV, and 4 piece Aero kit.

I can't find what I want either...looked at Grubbs website and they have exactly what I want. What do you have to do to get the VPP pricing? And on a car that list for $36110 how much would $700 over invoice be?

i guess it deals with the location. i live in ca, and there's not many 6mt shipped to sf area. and the few that they do are sold almost immediately.

also, this is a $30k+ car. i would think people would like their car exactly how they want it. i told them i want ip/graph. firm.

Re: Ordering a 2004

i just ordered (pretty much what BeerViper has) a LR/6mt/prem/nav/full-aero/etc a few weeks ago and the order is just going to Japan now (since its the beginning of the month).

I agree with the earlier sentiment, but even with a few option combinations its really impossible to get exactly what you desire *off-the-lot* (or even off a nearby dealer's lot). I checked grubbs recently and they had nothing close to my specs.

I can be flexible with some options, but for what i'm spending I want *exactly* what i want and nothing else!

Re: Ordering a 2004

I talked to the dealer again today. They said that it will take few weeks but they said they are getting what I want in before the end of the month. I think they wanted me to change colors to get rid of the stock they had (2 silver and 4 Des Platinum.) Either way I can't friggin Wait!!!!
