Man, brake dust is a killer. My stock 17s were pretty bad with it, and now I have to clean my new mesh-style wheels every other day. It's a pain in the ***, but whatev...

We can all thank Infiniti for not putting big enough brakes on our cars. Now our brakes are forced to work overtime, thereby creating more break dust. You really need to keep an eye on your front wheels especially. I try and wipe mine off every day or two.

see i used to have the stock 17's on teh car...i would go a month without washin (looked like they were painted black haha) but i would easliy wash them rihgt off after..no baked on no notghin....

i might go ahead and paint them

your wheels are toast. break out the rattle cans.... i run a detail shop out of a nissan dealership and this is a very common problem with infinitis and the nissans. those stains are caused by using too harsh of a cleaner and letting it sit on the rim too long. it mixes with the brake dust and destroys your wheels. only use soap and water if u dont want that happening to your wheels. otherwise if your gonna use wheel cleaner make it quick after u spray it on. do one wheel at a time. do not let it sit at all...
