G35 as jackpot

While vacationing in Vegas last week, I noticed at the Stratosphere, a G35 coupe was the jackpot at one of the cluster of slot machines. At first I thought it had aftermarket rims, but then realized they were the standard 6 spoke rims that have been chrome dipped. What's funny, is that during the week I was in vegas, I always saw at least 3 people playing the slots to win this G35. There was a Z4 a couple aisles over, and I don't think I ever saw anyone playing those slots, and they were the same slots, same price even. (25 cents). Anyone have picts of the sport 18" wheels chromed? I thought about getting my stock 18" sport wheels chromed, but I really like the stock color. Though every G35 I see has my rims

Re: G35 as jackpot

They must have lightened up since you tried to take pictures. I was taking pictures all over the place at all the casinos I was at. I figured if I got hassled, I'll just pretend I don't speak english... (Worked wonders with the guys trying to sell time shares Granted I didn't really take pictures of the slot machines themselves, mostly just the decor. I did however, see lots of people taking pictures of the slot machine they were playing. Especially those jumbo sized ones, with reels the size of truck tires.

Though I was real hasty in taking pictures of this G, because there were people playing on the slots at the time, and they were staring at me, especially when I was trying to get a picture of the chromed rims, as I was standing on the chair and kneeling on the slot machine (That's why the picture is a little blurry)

My wife started yelling at me, when I said I was going to try to peek through the window to see if it had Navi.

Re: G35 as jackpot

I've seen those wheels sitting in the Charlotte NC dealership.
When I asked the sales guy how much extra to add those to my order?
He said, "$2,000.00 more.

What was worse? The ones on display looked 'dirty' like everyone and their brother had put their greasy finger smugs on them.
Would love to see them clean, on the G, and in the light.
Anyone?

Re: G35 as jackpot

I was in vegas back in March and it was still sitting there. Either they dont pull it down when someone wins and you get one from a dealer or no one has won it yet. I thought the rims looked nice but the added unsprung weight to have them chromed I didnt think was worth it.

Re: G35 as jackpot

Not sure if its the same, but at the Aladdin, they have a Mini Cooper S on display. I was in vegas during Comdex (January), and they still had the yellow mini there. When I was there last week, it was still there. I talked to some of the guys there, and they said that they go through one mini a month, such that somebody wins it every month. Maybe the G is the same.

FWIW, the G wasn't at the Stratosphere in January. I just bought mine in January, so I would've noticed

Re: G35 as jackpot

About 6 or 7 months ago there was a white G35 Coupe on Ebay that the guy had won on that very same slot at the Strat. You prolly have a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice while having a threesome with supermodels!
