Going w/o Plenum Cover ?
Going w/o Plenum Cover ?
Im preparing to install a part on my G and I just think it looks cooler with out the engine cover, what are the cons to not having the cover on while driving ? its a newb Question i know , but i checked the SEARCH
the engine cover has bolts that actually ground the vehicle, if you run it without it, make sure to have the bolts still screwed in. but you gotta attach 22k gold copper wires from the firewall. if the car is not grounded properly you will end up messing up the rotary cuffs. be careful
Here's the link on how to do this setup correctly:

HAHA....this is funny! You need to get out more, the sunshine (if you have any) will help cure your ills. The engine cover is insulated by rubber biscuits
which would hardly work as a ground. Don't items that need to be ground made of metal, the OEM covers are some type of plastic composite. Hell NO, you don't need the OEM engine cover if you decide to run without it. My guess, 20% of our members
don't use an engine cover especially if they have one of Sean's polished
plenums....

wow you know you guys could have done it without the sarcasm,
plane and simple, NO there is no downside of not having an engine cover....just polish that plenum up to make it look good...

Thanks Dofu, but I've already had lunch. Being the nice guy that I am I
tried to correct MixturePinoy's illogical post by using sarcasm. Sorry if I
offended or hurt anyones feelings. Dofu....can I have the cookie now?
