Many people say a plenum spacer + MREV2 (both made by motordyne) is the best bang for your buck. After you do that, you can get your engine tuned for all of the mods, and you should gain a good amount of hp. Most kids with tune+ basic breather mods make about 265-270whp, and stock is usually around 230.

Cool...Thanks! I had a tuner for my Lightning, but have no idea where to find a tuner here locally. Is there a good place to send it off to?

The sedan is also lighter than the coupe.

i still cant believe the sedan is lighter than the coupe

From Automotive.com on an '06 g35. The sedans curb weight is 3,449. The coupe is 3,505. 50lbs HEAVIER. 50lbs is nothing, but still heavier.

Probably right, could be in the doors. This car isnt exactly light is it. Need to strip off some weight.

Can someone define the difference in rev up vs non rev-up motors (ECU) and is my 06 an VQ35DE?

wow! i had no idea about the weight either....maybe i should do away the back seats, and maybe get some carbon fiber... hell, while I'm at it. bye bye spare tire bye bye passenger seat, I mean who needs a passenger seat when all a passenger does is add weight and yell at you when your having some fun. Might as well do away with the roof as well for lower center of gravity and if those doors are sooo heavy then should just do away with those too. Now I should have a lean mean G!

But for real. since you have rev-up, I recommend MREV2+spacer. pick w/e intake you want, just get rid of that stupid G tube.

What do they weigh? Also, what is the rev-up. Too lazy to research at the moment.

INFINITI !!!!!

z-tube is probably best first mod, really makes the engine sound 10x better. relatively cheap, and it's OEM.

LOL. I know the consensus says otherwise Coupes>Sedans. but it depends on who you ask.

The new 370 is really nice. I wouldn't mind having one.

BTW, your coupe looks nice. Might get to see it on Wednesday weather permitting and if you guys are still going to be in Waldorf.

yeah so like posted above.

350z = 3,339 lbs
370z = 3,232 lbs

G35C= 3,524 lbs
G35S= 3,472 lbs
G37 = 3,668 lbs

between 350 and 370 thats a whole 107 lbs lighter and thats with a bigger, more powerful engine . Then look at the G37 and 370z...436 LBS!!!!! thats the equivalent of one really really really really fat passenger. G37 fails at life.

Yeah if weather permits I will be there on wednesday, hope you see you there bro.

to mdula - your gonna have to exercise your right to search to find your answer about revup
