Clicking noise?

I hear a click as I start driving. It is only one click, then again when I slow down or speed up. It sounds like its coming from the right side, possibly the suspension. The sound doesn't occur when a go over any bumps. Any ideas what this could be? The car drives normally and the sound was probably like that for a while i just noticed this recently while driving with the windows down. Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Clicking noise?

Sounds like your axle bolts are loose in the rear. Have them tightened at the dealer. Under warrenty too.

Re: Clicking noise?

Thanks. I just made an appointment with the dealer. They couldn't give me an appointment until next wednesday. Is it okay to drive it the way it is?

Re: Clicking noise?

dealer fixed mine with no problems. I was hearing the noise from the right side but they took care of both sides at the same time.

And I was hearing the noise for about a week before I was able to bring it in.

Re: Clicking noise?

I was told it was the spline on the axle that wasn't seated properly. So they regreased the axle and retorqued it.

Re: Clicking noise?

I had a problem with clunking sounds coming from the front right of the car on slow left turns. After spending 4 hrs. at the dealership it turns out that they didn't torque my wheels properly when they swapped back my summer tires. Once they re-torqued it it was good to go, no problems. So, if the dealer cannot find anything else, ask them to re-torque the wheels, can save you some time !

It's probably your reverberating toggle swindle. I torqued mine down the 75 lbs and it didn't come back. Make sure you torque counter-clockwise!
